International Limited Warranty

By purchasing ColibriGold jewelry you as a customer of Colibri Gold acknowledge and agree to this International Limited Warranty.

ColibriGold guarantees that your jewelry is free of manufacturing defects for one year from the purchase date. Manufacturing defects may include clasp breakage, missing pavé stones (stones 0.02ct and under), chain detachment from a jump ring, loose diamonds, or loose prongs. 

Ensuring that you feel entirely reassured when you make your purchase of a ColibriGold is of paramount importance to us. Colibri Gold stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products, and warrants that all items will be free from defects in materials and manufacturing for a period of one year from the date of purchase. We make every effort to ensure your engagement with us is stress-free and that you can trust us to make this easy and convenient for you, knowing we support you every step of the way. 

If the damage is deemed outside of a manufacturing defect, we’ll always let you know the price of a repair before beginning any work on your jewelry. The ColibriGold warranty only applies to purchases on www.colibrigold.com. This warranty does not include the cost of shipping the item and the evaluation by our expert jewelers to determine if the damage is warranted. Repairs that are not covered under the one-year warranty will have a price quoted to the customer for approval before work is performed.

If you believe there is a manufacturing defect with your purchase, you should immediately contact our team, within 15 days of the purchase to arrange a return for inspection. As the supplier, if we determine your purchase is damaged as a result of a manufacturing or materials defect, we will repair the product, or, if appropriate, replace it. If the product is no longer available, we may offer a replacement that matches the original as closely as possible at our discretion. 

Please note that minor irregularities and variations in craftsmanship are solely unique to each item. Natural characteristics or internal inclusions that are visible or invisible, in all gemstones are also special and unique to each item. These features are considered part of the nature of each bespoke item and are not considered defects.   

Wear and Tear  

‘Wear and tear’ damage is not included in this warranty, and Colibri Gold reserves the right to assess the extent of any damage that may have occurred from this.  If we believe the damage is not caused by a manufacturing or material defect, Colibri Gold will notify you and suggest options for repair. In the event that there is ever a problem with your jewelry, it can be mailed to us for inspection. If the problem is determined to be from a manufacturing or structural defect, we will repair or replace the item at no charge to you.  

Ongoing Support  

We strongly recommend that your ColibriGold jewelry item is regularly inspected annually. All maintenance is required to be completed by a jeweler authorized by Colibri Gold to preserve the validity of this warranty. Please contact us about any maintenance you believe is required.  
Colibri Gold does not pay shipping fees for the return of an item to be serviced unless there is an original craftsmanship problem. We will make a good-faith effort to serve our clients fairly and honestly in all situations.

Conditions and Exclusions  

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure regular check-ups of the purchased jewelry, are being arranged with authorized jewelers.

This warranty will not apply in accordance with any or all of the below scenarios:  

• General wear and tear or damage through misuse, neglect, or accident.
• Use for a purpose for which the product was neither sold nor designed. 
• Discoloration of precious metals caused by: chemicals, excessive heat, make-up, atmospheric conditions, and environmental factors outside Colibri Gold control.
• Immersions in pools, baths, or hot tubs. 
• The loss of a gemstone if signs of wear and tear are evident. 
• defects and damages due to loss, theft, flood, earthquake or fire, routine maintenance, and cleaning, or other causes beyond the control of Colibri Gold
• Repair or service performed by a jeweler other than Colibri Gold or its authorized jewelers will void the warranty. 

The ColibriGold Warranty does not cover improper use, handling, wearing, storage, negligence, wear and tear, tampering, dismantling, modifications, or accidents, that may result but are not limited to chipped stones, loose or lost stones, bent mountings, scratches or other factors that occurred not due to manufacturing defects of the original craftsmanship.

We recommend that you maintain independent insurance coverage for your jewelry.

Third-Party Limitation

Any alteration of the piece of jewelry by a third party individual unrelated to ColibriGold will void the warranty and ColibriGold will not be held responsible for the integrity of the jewelry if the jewelry item was worked on or altered by anyone other than a ColibriGold certified jeweler. The phrase ‘worked on’ or alteration includes, but is not limited to polishing, resizing, repairing, stone replacement, engraving, stamping, stone setting, prong tightening, cleaning, pressure washing, soldering, metal plating, and filing.

This is to certify that you have purchased an authentic, one-of-a-kind ColibriGold piece of jewelry.

We hereby guarantee the authenticity of the precious metal used for your jewelry and the fact that is compliant with international jewelry standards for the category as stamped.

Precious metal jewelry sold by Colibri Gold bears the appropriate gold or silver stamp as required by International Laws, U.S. law, and U.S. fine jewelry standards, as follows:

• 10k is 10/24 pure gold or (417 fine)
• 14k is 14/24 pure gold or (585 fine)
• 18k is 18/24 pure gold or (750 fine)
• 925 or Sterling Silver is 925/1000 pure silver or (925 fine)

We Colibri Gold certify that all the jewelry sold on www.colibrigold.com does not contain a level of lead or cadmium that would prohibit the jewelry from being sold or offered for sale pursuant to Article 10.1.1, Chapter 6.5, Division 20, of the California Health and Safety Code (sections 25214.1 – 25214.2)
